What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk II position at Antrim County?
The Antrim County Register of Deeds office has an opening for a Full-Time Clerk II. The position will be require 37.5 hours per week. Basic duties include general office work and other duties as assigned by the Register of Deeds. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy emphasis on Work and Excel. Knowledge of other software such as BS&A is a plus and will be necessary in carrying out the responsibilities of the office. Experience and attention to detail in accounting and/or math-related activities is preferred. Must also be able to meet high standards when multi-tasking. The successful applicant must be neat in appearance, flexible, and enjoy and be comfortable working with the public. The applicant should minimally have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
The starting wage for this position is $17.60 per hour and includes a three-year scale with a maximum rate of $20.26. Increases to the wage scale are subject to future negotiations with the General Bargaining Unit, Teamster Local 214. Work hours will be 8:30 - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Position has a full benefits package including a pension.
