Cardinal Shehan School has an opening for an Extended Day Care Director. The ideal candidate should have management experience and experience working with young children. In addition, she/he would be responsible for the direct supervision of students within the program as well as the staff.
Essential Functions
- Supervise the daily operations of the Extended Care Program.
- Supervise aides in planning appropriate social, physical, and creative activities for the students.
- Provide a safe and clean environment for the students.
- Record daily student attendance.
- Record daily payments and post to the accounts receivable system.
- Work with the Business Office on monthly billing.
- Follow up on delinquent accounts.
- Communicate daily with Extended Care Program parents regarding concerns or issues, schedule changes, and general administrative matters
- Supervision of day care staff members.
- Communicate all significant concerns and issues to the school administration.
- Comply with all regulations of the State Letter of Compliance.
- Complete all paperwork required to update and maintain the State Letter of Compliance.
Position Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred
- MSDE child care credentialing or willingness to obtain
- First Aid and CPR certified
- Excellent references
