Job Title: Procurement Analyst, Procurement
Reporting to: Senior Procurement Manager - Reporting, Data & Analytics
The primary purpose of this role is drive data processes, dashboards & other visualizations that will give Procurement and business colleagues visibility into key spend categories and actively guide their strategies in delivering cost-savings and operational efficiency. The analyst will collaborate heavily with the business, Finance, and IT. This role requires someone with not only technical skills but also strong business acumen & communication skills to coherently combine both sets of requests.
The analyst is expected to independently conduct analysis in Excel, Viz tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.), and SQL knowledge is a plus. Analysis must be reproducible, automated (where applicable), and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Work with both Direct and Indirect Procurement teams
- Manage complex projects with several contributors and stakeholders with little oversight and guidance
- Will create reports using various tools such as Excel, Power Bi, and others.
- Needs to be able to work with multiple complex data sets and be able to conduct analysis on both internal and external data.
- Provide analytical support to category teams while they work through their sourcing waves.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of new and existing procurement tools from; spend & volume analytics, RFI/RFP templates, Value Trackers, Market Analytics, and more.
- Develop power-point presentations summarizing recommendations for leadership
- Be able to train team members, both on an individual basis as well as globally, on both new Tools being implemented as well as any new or existing reporting.
- Support ad-hoc analytics requests from leaders in the Global Procurement organization
- Work with IT on the building of an automated Global Spend Database
- Extract and analyze data from multiple ERP systems
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree – preferably in a business or Supply Chain
- 2 years of experience as an analyst within the Supply Chain or Procurement Functions.
- 2 years of experience working with Microsoft office tools like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- 2 years of experience with Visualization tools, preferably Power BI
Job Skills:
Excel – Advanced – Advanced formulas (Vlookups, IF statements, etc.) Pivot Tables, Charts, and Macros. THIS IS A REQUIRED SKILL- Power BI – Advanced – Dax (Measures & Columns), Power Query Editor, connecting multiple data sets, building reports.
- PowerPoint – Intermediate – Need to be able to build basic presentations including trainings, documentation (Reports), monthly reporting, etc.
- Verbal/Written Skills – Will work mostly with Internal stakeholders, specifically with VP level, Category Managers, and potentially some Executives (C-Level). There will also be the need to communicate externally with Suppliers on a case-by-case basis. This person needs to effectively communicate through Teams (Meetings & Chat), Emails, Presentations, and some phone calls.
- SQL – Strong Plus.
