Summary
APD seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Finance professional to join our growing organization. APD’s strong culture is ready for the right person to join us in the role of Finance Manager to assist Officers, Owners, and Project Leads with implementation and execution of financial and business processes. The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the firm, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis. The right candidate is able to work easily with all personality types, be a team player who can run processes independently, and be willing to take on any needed tasks. Must be able to contribute on multiple levels—both as an independent contributor and as a manager. This role will include training and mentoring company employees on business processes involved with project management via accounting software. Responsibilities Include
- Responsible for all financial procedures and records.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
- Review bi-weekly payroll.
- Monthly closing support including project profitability and cost accounting.
- Revenue and expense variance analysis.
- Preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP in a timely fashion, including footnotes and management discussion and analysis for lenders.
- Corporate income tax projections and filings.
- Support for budget development.
- Internal analyses and metrics for Owners.
- Multi-year forecasting.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support. Foster a collaborative environment within the Finance Team.
- Coordinate deliverables and schedules with Finance Department Team Members.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant.
- 7 years in public accounting with experience leading client engagements or commensurate business consulting background.
- Master’s degree in accounting or bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience.
- Extensive experience with Excel and Word (pivot tables, lookup functions, nesting, macros).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent ability to speak publicly in front of small and large groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with architectural and/or engineering business or similar professional services company.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
