Construction Superintendent

Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience, location, and performance) W2/1099 Negotiable

Position Overview:

Apex Constructors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate subcontractors and vendors. Provide leadership in all phases of the project

• Develop and implement work schedules to optimize project efficiency and meet deadlines
• Lead and manage day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed and high-quality standards are met.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure that work aligns with project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and communicate with the project manager and stakeholders regarding updates and potential challenges.
• Oversee the ordering and scheduling of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for project execution.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and building regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings. Enforce safety policies to create a secure work environment
• Proactively resolve any on-site issues related to scheduling, personnel, and construction techniques.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution and quality assurance.
• Manage and track project costs, assisting in budget management and minimizing cost overruns.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and inspection reports.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, techniques, equipment, and processes.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA certification or similar safety training is highly desirable.
• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
