Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to provide support in the daily operations of the construction project. The candidate will be responsible for scheduling subcontractors work, receiving deliveries, unloading materials and inventory of materials and Must be certified with ability to drive forklift. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes and the ability to read & understand drawings to include MEP's.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the daily operations of the construction project, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Aid in managing the project timeline by coordinating subcontractors and vendors to ensure that work is completed in sequence and on project schedule timeline. Ability to resource effectively to meet project milestones.
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of construction activities.
- Must be certified with ability to drive forklift.
- Receive deliveries, unload materials and maintain inventory of materials.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, quick thinking, adaptability to resolve unexpected issues, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong ability to communicate with workers, supervisors, and external stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Maintain good communication and regular updates to the Construction Superintendent, flagging potential delays or concerns that could impact the project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an assistant superintendent or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Certified to drive forklift.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with leadership abilities.
- Must provide hands-on approach to get the job done.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work with tools.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
