Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Intake Coordinator to join our dynamic team in a busy Home Health office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes along with assistance with insurance authorizations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical terminology and office management practices.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history from referral sources.
- Utilize Kinnser/WellSky software system to input and manage patient data.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating follow-up care as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Home Health Care or Medical setting is preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding is preferred.
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in office management practices.
