Hybrid Schedule (3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote)
Pay rate: $39/hr W2
Contract length: 6-12 months with high potential for conversion (contingent on budget and performance)
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Information Security Engineering. Review and analyze basic or tactical Information Security Analyst/Security Baselines assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Provide information to client personnel in Information Security Engineering/Security Baselines.
Seeking an Information Security Engineer for Cyber Security Vulnerability and Patch Management team. In this role, the analyst will perform security baseline reviews of products and product suites leveraging Information Security standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Internet Security (CIS), and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) frameworks. In addition, the analyst will review and update responses for audits and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Security Baselines leveraging Information security frameworks: CIS, STIG NIST
Demonstrated experience and knowledge across technology products and product suites
Experience with leveraging cyber and information security frameworks and standards, such as but not limited to NIST, CIS, and STIG
Knowledge of risk and compliance processes and practices
In this role, you will:
Participate in security consulting on small projects for internal clients to ensure uniformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
Track and publish security baselines
Provide support to product owners to publish their security baseline documentation
Utilize security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, and business continuity (CIS, NSIT, STIG Industry Frameworks).
