This is a technical project management role that reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and is responsible for managing projects and coordinating compliance activities within the Cybersecurity department.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our Cybersecurity team. The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate SOC 2, SOX and other security compliance activities for the IT organization. The Project Manager will also support high-visibility and complex cybersecurity projects and programs, working with engineers in various functions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical project management skills and understanding of SOC 2 and other security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
SOC 2, SOX, and other Compliance Programs:
Develop plan and manage plan in partnership with external auditors
Coordinate meetings with appropriate SME's, facilitate communication, and track completion of open questions and deliverables.
Coordinate, organize and validate evidence, for submission.
Project Management:
Work with Cybersecurity team to develop project plans and track progress against milestones.
Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management on progress and escalate any risks or issues.
Actively manage and report on the critical path to provide a line of sight into risks, issues, and dependencies before they impact the project; escalate risks, issues, and dependencies as needed.
Work with CISO and cyber team to develop exec-level presentations designed to communicate progress and risk.
Design Jira dashboard to help communicate and track progress of vulnerability remediation.
Support Cybersecurity-related efforts around M&A activities.
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or comparable work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a cybersecurity, application development or other IT field.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure concepts and technology to facilitate communication, understanding, analysis, and reporting, ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are defined and tracked.
Experience managing SOC 2 or similar compliance projects and audits.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, audit processes, risk management, and control implementation.
Solid experience with Jira and Confluence required.
Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Complexity
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and teams.
Proven ability to drive teams to reduce ambiguity and to facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
