We are looking for a Part-Time Staff Accountant to join our Team! APP Properties (appjetcenter.com) is a domestic company operating four Fixed Based Operations at general aviation airports around the country and owning only hangars at a fifth general aviation airport. Fixed Based Operators provide corporate and business terminal and flight services, fuel, hangars, and other ancillary aviation-related services for non-commercial airports. The Staff Accountant would be based at our Stuart, Florida location at Witham Field.
JOB SUMMARY :
Perform a variety of accounting duties including the verification, maintenance, reconciliation, and reporting of accounting data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Daily recording of cash receipts and reconciliations
- Maintenance of accounts receivable
- Maintenance of accounts payable
- Calculate and process state sales taxes
- Monthly closing process, including balance sheet reconciliations and expense analyses
- Perform / assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university in accounting or related field. Familiarity with accounting systems a plus.
EXPERIENCE
Three to five years of related accounting experience.
