Pero Family Farms is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the organizations accounting team. This individual’s responsibilities will be to support the Controller in their role. This will include the reconciliation and analyzing of general ledgers for multiple entities, performing inventory counts and make necessary adjusting entries, reconciliation of purchase order reports to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct month, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary
Pero Family Farms is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the organizations accounting team. This individual’s responsibilities will be to support the Controller in their role. This will include the reconciliation and analyzing of general ledgers for multiple entities, performing inventory counts and make necessary adjusting entries, reconciliation of purchase order reports to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct month, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for various entities.
- Review and process daily inventory repack allocations. Investigate and communicate discrepancies with the shipping and production team members to resolve these discrepancies timely.
- Prepare intercompany reports, journal entries, and elimination tie out workbook to ensure amounts agree between related parties each month. Assist with reconciling intercompany payables and ensure payables are in the correct periods.
- Assist the accounts payable team with processing vendor invoices timely and prepare support for auditors.
- Maintain supporting records for all account reconciliations (e.g. prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses).
- Prepare daily purchase orders to ensure accurate charges and estimates are reflected.
- Prepare purchase matching for intercompany entities purchase orders and other internal charge purchase orders.
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Prepare monthly income statement comparative variance analysis.
- Assist with providing support to financial statement auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 4 years of experience in accounting (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong computer skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to interact professionally across departments
- Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills.
