What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2022 Cannon Music Camp Counselor position at Appalachian State University?
Employment with Cannon Music Camp is a full-time commitment. The supervision and safety of your campers is a twenty-four hour responsibility and your primary job. You will have scheduled ?on the clock? activities every day, except for your day off. In addition to these scheduled activities you will be ?on call? at all times to respond to camp/camper needs, emergency or otherwise. Each counselor is also responsible to serve as a crew member, assisting with a specific ensemble(s) and their conductors as necessary. Each counselor is responsible for one cabin and should help plan and coordinate activities for his/her cabin. Each counselor will sign-up for Residence Hall Desk (Lobby) assistance on a weekly basis. All of the counseling staff will be called upon to assist with camp recreational activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Music: Education, Performance, Therapy, Industries or in the progress of attaining.
