What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Agent position at AppleOne?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize legal remedies to manage collections effectively.
- Conduct in-depth research using various resources to evaluate the collectability of contracts.
- Collaborate with a nationwide network of attorneys to implement collection strategies.
- Negotiate repayment terms within established approval authority guidelines.
- Minimize costs while maximizing recoveries or mitigating losses.
- Update contract statuses on a monthly basis.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy processes (Chapters 7, 11, and 13) is advantageous.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with bankruptcy plans and the ability to interpret legal terminology.
- Experience in legal collections is a plus.
