Chemical Applicator
Reports To: Operations Manager
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Type: Seasonal
Purpose: Using appropriate precautions and techniques, apply chemicals on-site at nursery and on customer sites as requested.
Responsibilities:
- Mix and apply growth regulators, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides at customer sites as directed.
- Apply fertilizer to lawn to enhance growth at customer sites as needed.
- Document treatment schedule for each site and fertilizer/chemical used.
- Apply chemicals per your training.
- Take directions from the Operations Manager or other lead.
- Assist the Garden Maintenance team as needed with any other duties at the customer site.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Requires Pesticide Applicator's License.
- Strong work ethic and can work at a fast pace with accuracy.
- Can work individually with limited supervision and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and lift 50lbs repetitively.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment and provide preventative maintenance to keep equipment in working order.
- Must possess a valid Drivers' License, safe driving record, and proof of insurability.
- 6 months of grounds keeping/gardening experience a plus.
- Must be able to work weekends and enjoy working outside.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
