At Applied Research Associates, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Explosives Systems Engineer to join our team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
This role is located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head (NSWC-IH) and requires a US citizen residing within the US.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Researching, developing, testing, evaluating, manufacturing, and providing in-service support for energetics and energetic systems.
- Collaborating with explosives and munitions subject matter experts to ensure safe and cost-effective execution of production capabilities for energetic materials and related applications.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related scientific field (physics, chemistry, etc.) with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear written and oral briefings, including the ability to adapt content for specific audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Advanced Degree in an engineering or related technical field.
- Experience with the production, handling, processing, and design of energetic materials related to defense applications.
