Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52403
Position: Clinical Recruiter
Pay Rate: $43/hr
Duration: 26 weeks
Expected Shift: 8am to 5pm, 40 hrs/week (Onsite position. Hours may vary due to candidate interview/onboarding availability.)
Job Duties:
- Owns and executes full cycle physician and APP recruitment process for assigned vacancies.
- Works effectively with service line teams on developing practice opportunities
- Conducts preliminary phone interviews with candidates for qualifying purposes
- Coordinates onsite visits/interviews and the retrieval of background and reference checks
- Facilitates communication with key stakeholders regarding candidate feedback, hiring decisions, and employment offers
- Extends employment offers, negotiates employment terms and manages the contracting processes in tandem with the Legal department.
- In collaboration with Human Resources, Organizational Development and Operational Leaders, facilitates the physician and APP onboarding/orientation process.
- Obtains all clinical documentation relevant to practice (i.e., Case logs, procedure counts, OPPE reports).
- Develops and cultivates relationships with physicians and APPs joining Mercy through the recruitment, credentialing, privileging and onboarding/orientation processes.
- Supports and assists in executing physician and APP retention, engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of organization and ability to “sell” the organization to candidates.
- Display experience as an intermediate user of MS office products.
- Display ability to influence and build credibility within Mercy Medical Center.
- Exhibit professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Exhibit high standards of customer service, which includes networking and excellent follow through.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of organization.
- Display strong interpersonal skills.
Professional Experience
Minimum 3 years of full cycle recruiting experience required. Healthcare recruiting experience preferred.
Education
AA only with Physician recruiter experience or BA with Healthcare recruiting only (don't need the physician experience).
