Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of accounts. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, as well as excellent customer service abilities to interact with clients effectively. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, ensuring timely invoicing and managing accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will involve working closely with the sales and accounting teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment arrangements, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently in the system
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts
- Create and issue invoices following company procedures
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support credit and collections efforts as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate data flow and customer satisfaction
- Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
