Job Overview
This role offers the unique opportunity to represent our diverse wine portfolio in California and neighboring states, as well as travel to France for firsthand experience and training with the producers and estates we represent.
You will gain extensive knowledge, travel to meet diverse clientele, collaborate with our distributors, and have a direct impact on our growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business relationships with wine stores, restaurants, chains, and other potential clients.
- Understand customer needs and provide suitable wine recommendations.
- Collaborate with our distributors' salesforce and portfolio managers to coordinate the marketing and sales of our wines to end customers.
- Frequently travel within California to meet potential clients, present our portfolio, and secure orders.
- Collaborate with the internal team to manage inventory, ensuring stock levels meet demand without overages.
- Use data-driven strategies to optimize the sales pipeline and make informed decisions on sales tactics.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on our portfolio and sales strategies.
- Report sales metrics, client feedback, and market trends to the Director of Sales.
Requirements
- The ability to prioritize tasks and set your own daily and weekly goals to meet global sales targets.
- Passion for wine and basic understanding of French wines.
- 1-2 years of previous wine-related experience, such as working at a wine retailer, restaurant, wholesaler, or importer.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work asynchronously with the team.
- Flexibility to travel within assigned regions.
- A need to have a car for transportation.
- Able to travel to Bordeaux, France for training and offsite at minimum once a year, sometimes twice a year.
- A need to live in Los Angeles, but exact neighborhood is up to you as long as you can easily travel between East and West sides depending on customer location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of inventory management and data analytics.
- Wine-related education, such as a sommelier course, viticulture/enology degree, or hospitality degree.

- Commission structure based on wholesaler depletions achieved. This is not capped.
