About the Role
The Accounting Specialist will support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and complete ad hoc projects to support the finance team. This position will also support the ongoing process improvement of accounting functions and the implementation of procedures to streamline fiscal close.
This role is within the ETC/Arc US finance team and reports to the ETC Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid role, and work from the West Palm Beach office is required 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting department operations, including reviewing and substantiating accounts payable transactions by auditing documents and posting accounts receivable, payable, and other general ledger adjustments.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for entry into the ERP system, NetSuite, by collecting necessary data, analyzing costs, and preparing support to attach to journal entries.
- Crosstrain with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable coordinators to back up payments and collections procedures as needed.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly deferred and recognized revenue postings and reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining the fixed and intangible asset reconciliation
- To ensure compliance, document new accounting procedures following U.S. GAAP
- Help with the maintenance and application of internal controls
- Financial close process support, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables monthly
- Other General Ledger journal entries, reconciliation preparation, and balance sheet review
- Track and file state and government business licensing to remain in compliance with all regulatory requirements
