Location: Portland, OR, USA - This role is primarily based out of our Portland office, and is open to hybrid work
Work Arrangement: Flexible, between in-office (2 days/week) and home
Pay Range: $21.50 - $26.50/hour; Pay is dependent on year of study and related experience
Duration: Four (4) months, May 5, 2025 – August 22, 2025
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week, M-F

The Wholesale Sales, Key Accounts Internship is a key member the US Wholesale channel. With a footwear-first lens, you will be working to support the wider sales team in their daily rhythms and seasonal sales calendar; further driving the brand’s commercial positioning in the US marketplace. With a strong focus on the Key Accounts team (but not limited-to), you will help to support account meetings, perform sales analysis, manage showroom coordination, and support event/program planning for key opportunities for the team. Under the umbrella of the business’ 3-year strategies, you will help in identifying focus areas and will make recommendations to elevate Arc’teryx footwear, apparel and gear with key retail partners. Utilizing data and trends, you will make clear opportunities to grow the business, quantifying growth and preparing and presenting strategies to key stakeholders both internal and external. You will have the distinct opportunity to work with one of the industry’s leading brand and with some of the largest retailers in the United States.

Today, the Arc’teryx Wholesale team is focused on supporting, growing, and managing our wholesale business in partnership with our core retailers across North America. We are results-driven problem-solvers, skiers, runners, climbers and creatives – all who enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment.
\n- Supporting the Account Managers’ weekly work with creative thought and project execution aimed at elevating the brand’s presence in key wholesaler’s doors
- Reading, analyzing and sharing back current sales trends to the wider team which will help in identifying current business opportunities
- Displaying strong project management skills and helping to unveil a “footwear sales toolkit” aimed at supporting Specialty Sales Territory managers with their own efforts
- Helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the US Sales showroom, processing samples and helping to plan for account meetings
- Attending and supporting regional brand events and visiting wholesale partner locations to ensure the connection between sales planning, execution and “meeting the guest where they shop.”
- You will leave the summer session with a strong understanding of the outdoor/fashion industry
- You will know the premium place that Arc’teryx plays in it, the operations of a leading brand, and the associated go-to-market calendar aimed at supporting brand growth
- You will understand the balance of selling product to wholesalers and selling product through wholesalers using footwear as a first lens. Meeting the guest where they shop and maximizing their experience with Arc’teryx is at the forefront of what we do
- You are enrolled as a third (3rd) or fourth (4th) year student pursing an undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Communication, Outdoor Recreation, Product Design or a related field from an accredited university
- You are Oregon-based, or you have the ability to spend associated months (May-August) in the Portland metro
- You have 1 years of relevant industry experience in customer service, retail, marketing, etc.
- You have strong interest in the outdoor industry, preferably in the field of sales, sales analysis or sales planning
- You are experienced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- You have excellent people skills with a keen ability to confidently speak and present in a room full of people
- You have attention to detail with outstanding follow-through and time management skills: able to multi-task and complete all duties on time/completely with (at times) conflicting priorities
- You are able to work independently and communicate with multiple teams and levels within an array of brands (matrix environment)
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
