We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, counseling, and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve success in school and beyond.
Essential Functions
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' emotional and social development
- Assist students in developing academic goals
- Identify and address behavioral issues, collaborating with teachers and parents/guardians
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to external resources when necessary
- Support students in conflict resolution, peer relationships, and decision-making
- Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Position Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Counseling
- MD State certification/licensure as a School Counselor
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and faculty
Range: $42,500 - $85,000 Annualized
