The regional employee relations manager will be working in the southern/Indiana border region of Chicago. The regional employee relations manager is responsible for maintaining close and trusted partnerships with all regional leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The employee relations manager supports the HR strategy by measuring operational success through various HR metrics. Regularly reviews metrics, analyzes, identifies trends, and makes recommendations to address gaps.
Responsibilities listed are not limited to other duties as assigned:
Supports all areas of HR for assigned region including employee relations, talent and performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, change management, employment law, and effective adoption of organizational initiatives and strategies.
Partner with organizational leaders to address employee performance concerns, conduct employee relations investigations, and manage employee engagement. This makes up more than 65% of the role, so a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in investigations and performance management is required and critical to be successful in this role.
Collaborates to identify training and leadership development needs and implement solutions. Facilitates training sessions on identified topics such as employment law, positive employee relations, leadership development, and team building.
Supports talent management initiatives, including coaching good and poor performance. Advises leaders on "coaching to correct" process, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
Project manager for various projects as assigned, applying an organizational lens and downstream impacts to all to all remote locations as well as corporate headquarters.
Requirements:
- 7 years of generalist experience with at least 4 years direct employee relations experience.
- Employee Relations and Talent Assessment.
- Consultative approach to problem resolution.
- Work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Work in a highly confidential and sensitive information gathering environment.
- Gather, evaluate, and analyze data to make recommendations.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws such as EEO, ADAAA, FMLA, FLSA, and their application.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Licensure - preferred
- Knowledge and respect of Catholic faith.

This position has an annualized salary range of $80,000 - $105,000. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
