The Archdiocese of Denver seeks an innovative problem-solver with strong relationship-building skills to work on a cross-functional service team to manage the finances of our Mission Support Center (MSC) team’s parishes/schools. This role combines data analysis, financial management, and collaboration as a direct extension of the parishes and schools to ensure best practices are being utilized. Working in an agile environment, you'll drive financial clarity, build new initiatives, and foster key relationships within our MSC Team for up to 15 parishes/schools. Key Job Responsibilities
- Ongoing Financial Analysis and Management: Partner with parish leadership to monitor and evaluate financial performance. Prepare and present financial information to tell the narrative and identify trends and possible actions for Finance Councils and parish communities and collaborate with the accountant to implement best practices for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Accounting Review and Support: Review bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements, identifying adjustments and spot-checking transactions. Provide backup for urgent transactional activities, such as emergency payments, to mitigate financial or reputational risks.
- Collaboration with MSC Team: Working cross-functionally with multiple MSC Teams to provide the best service and support to our parishes/schools. Also, providing financial data and narrative to Archdiocesan leadership, as requested.

- Align with the values and mission of the Catholic Church and possess a willingness to practice human resources from this faithful perspective.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3-5 years' experience as a financial analyst, or similar experience preferred
- Preferred experience in an agile service center model, supporting diverse leaders, teams, and clients, with expertise in presenting financial data to clearly illustrate trends and insights.
- Skilled in building rapport, managing conflict, and maintaining trust and confidentiality. Expert in presenting data clearly to diverse audiences and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and other systems. Strong knowledge of client service best practices with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Experience managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining financial accuracy.
- Provide meaningful support to parishes, building trust and fostering collaboration with a service-oriented approach.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in written, verbal, and presentation formats, ensuring accurate documentation and timely project updates.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong time management skills.
- Adaptable and proactive, thriving in dynamic environments and applying solution-driven approaches to meet evolving challenges.
- Utilize business acumen, creativity, and GAAP expertise to address financial and operational issues effectively.
- Handle sensitive financial information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in fast-paced environments to meet deadlines and objectives.
