What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Bookkeeper position at Architect Firm in Suffolk County?
Responsibilities include performing general bookkeeping functions. Including but not limited to:
· Ensure accounts are current and work progress is captured and invoiced in a timely manner.
· Track receivables to ensure payments are collected according to contractual agreements.
· Continually performing audits; monitoring ageing and collection from clients.
· Contact clients regarding outstanding receivables and address concerns.
· Regularly interact with business owner concerning client jobs, work progression, and invoicing.
· Process financial transactions: bank deposits, credit card, ACH or Zelle payments.
· Post financial transactions to company ledger, QuickBooks, and reconcile accounts.
· Produce monthly financial statements, summaries and reports.
· Prepare month end financial package for the accountant.
· Greet clients, answer phones, maintain files and manage mail.
· Prepare BZA mailings, order office supplies, make bank deposits.
· Continuously maintain positive communication with existing and potential clients and maintain general office responsibilities as necessary.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software: QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and bookkeeping best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Associate's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrating excellent work ethics by consistently adhering to company core values and upholding professionalism in all tasks.
Part Time:: 25-30 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9am - 2pm
