Job Description
The Accounting Specialist II will oversee all aspects of our daily business activities, will be responsible for managing financial accounts, computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate.
Assists with monthly financial closing processes, including but not limited to, mastery in preparing journal entries with proper support, and understanding of fundamentals of accounting; including debits and credits for revenue and expenses related.
The ideal candidate must be accurate, articulate and enjoy working with detailed project information. Strong communication skills along with an outgoing and approachable personality are a must along with flexibility in changing priorities. Ideally you will have 5 years of full-charge accounting experience and desire to promote positivity, develop professional relationships with co-workers and clients, vendors, and partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate General Ledger reports
- Financial report analysis
- Reconcile multiple Checking/Banking, Credit Card Accounts
- Generate detailed Project/Job reports
- Manage multiline A/P
- Manage and oversee A/R
- Process Payroll functions, calculate commissions and compile payroll, including reports
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to make decisions and work independently; be detail-oriented with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to negotiate, analyze and assess risk, and exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
- The goals and objective list is a general overview, additional responsibilities and tasks can be required.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong AP/AR skill set and a focus on account reconciliation, consistent work history, excellent communication skills, Microsoft 365, computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate. The ability to work on multiple and detailed projects simultaneously and the ability to collaborate with coworkers, clients, and suppliers, while having an approachable personality are a must, along with flexibility in changing priorities.
Must be computer literate with proven ability in the use of spreadsheets, database, and word processing software, accounting software applications within a Windows-based operating environment primarily data entry, query, and reporting.
Ideally you will have 5 years of full-charge accounting experience and desire to promote positivity and grow your position within the organization.
