The Application Support Administrator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Assured Access to Space (SSC/AA) and Space Systems Integration (SSC/BZ) applications, processes, and tools as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This role ensures the operational availability, integrity, and functionality of electronic information systems (EIS) that support the Launch Enterprise and the Space Systems Integration Office.

The Application Support Administrator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Assured Access to Space (SSC/AA) and Space Systems Integration (SSC/BZ) applications, processes, and tools as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This role ensures the operational availability, integrity, and functionality of electronic information systems (EIS) that support the Launch Enterprise and the Space Systems Integration Office.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Overseeing data structure management, permission settings, and knowledge management.
- Providing technical support via email, phone, and in-person to Directorate personnel.
- Maintaining launch information and video content on the Inside SSC portal page.
- Supporting SharePoint and EIS applications identified in Appendix G of the PWS.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Technical expertise in maintaining and enhancing SharePoint-based applications and EIS systems, managing database structures, data integrity, and user permissions is essential.
- Familiarity with Knowledge Management principles and cybersecurity compliance requirements in alignment with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework is required.
- Certifications such as Security CE, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are preferred.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
- Candidates must be capable of providing responsive technical support through multiple channels and working within both classified and unclassified DoD IT environments.
- This position plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous functionality and security of SSC’s electronic information systems, directly supporting mission-critical space operations and system integration efforts.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with 3-5 years of experience in application support, system administration, or IT operations within a government or defense-related environment.
- Clearance: An active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
