What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veteran Care Attendant position at ARISE Child and Family Services?
This is a consumer directed program. Job Responsibilities will be determined by the need of the Veteran. The Veteran Care Attendant assists Veterans authorized to receive services through the Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program. VDC serves Veterans of all ages and with all types of disabilities who are enrolled in the VA health care system and are in need of nursing home care but can remain at home with care from a VCA. The VDC program provides Veterans the opportunity to receive home and community-based services (HCBS), supporting them to live independently in their homes. The program enables the Veteran to recruit, hire, train, schedule and dismiss the Veteran Care Attendant.
