Director of Recreation
The primary objective of this role is to design, coordinate, and direct the overall operation of the Recreation/Activity Department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Aristacare's established policies and procedures. This ensures that an ongoing program of activities meets the needs of residents, as determined by comprehensive assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop a diverse range of recreational activities to cater to various interests and abilities.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless integration of programs and services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on activity participation and resident feedback.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to address resident needs and preferences.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years, including one year of full-time experience in a patient activities program in a healthcare setting.
- Degree in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, social work, or a related field).
