Arizona G&T Cooperatives : Our Mission Arizona G&T Cooperatives operate on a not-for-profit basis. Arizona G&T Cooperatives are two electric cooperatives owned by the members we serve. Our members include six electric distribution cooperatives that distribute electric power to their own residential and commercial consumers at the end of the line. Make a difference as a Contract Services Specialist In the role of Contract Services Specialist at Arizona G&T Cooperatives, your responsibilities will encompass preparing, analyzing, and processing interconnection requests, operations and maintenance agreements, and telecommunication leases. You will assist in the development of power and transmission agreements, ensuring effective coordination among department personnel while facilitating timely execution and recordation. Overseeing existing operations agreements with the Western Area Power Administration or local utilities will be key, as will preparing amendments in collaboration with system operations and the legal department for any contract exhibit amendments for operations, maintenance and ownership responsibility. Additionally, you will monitor the document management system and corporate records to ensure compliance with retention policies. Acting as the primary contact for contract updates, you will also represent the cooperatives on various committees and contribute to special projects and enterprise risk management initiatives, solidifying your role as a crucial team member in our high-performance organization. Would you be a great Contract Services Specialist? To excel as a Contract Services Specialist at Arizona G&T Cooperatives, candidates must possess a multifaceted skill set tailored to the energy sector. A Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related technical field is essential, with a preference for advanced degrees such as a J.D. or applicable M.A. The ability to devise strategies, engage in complex negotiations, and communicate seamlessly with technical personnel and attorneys is crucial. Successful candidates demonstrate initiative and independence, manage contract development efficiently, and adapt quickly to understand intricate operational and administrative processes. Knowledge and skills required for the position are : 2-5 years of relevant electric utility experience, which may include contract administration and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical skills and exceptional writing abilities Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is critical Project management and organizational skills for effective coordination of multiple tasks.
