What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at Arizona Labor Force?
The System Administrator is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of computer hardware, software, applications, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment, electronic mail systems; troubleshooting and fix problems with the company’s custom applications at corporate, branch’s and affiliate offices, and maintain company servers. JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
- Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users problems with computer software and hardware for problems specific to the organizations computer networks and systems.
- Assist in the design and administration of network servers and services including active directory, policy administration, security, and file servers.
- Day-to-day upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of Arizona Labor Force, Inc., servers, phones, computers, and active directory.
- Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, custom applications, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.
- Office 365 services management and support including Microsoft Teams.
- Server and system security design and implementation using up to date standards and best practices.
- Group Policy administration and creation.
- Creates and maintains internal and external websites in collaboration with web developers.
- Reviews web content, links, and design; provides necessary updates and enhancements in a timely manner.
- Identifies useful site performance metrics; collects, tracks, records, compiles, analyzes, and reports site usage data.
- Collaborates with systems and network administrators to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks.
- Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts in an understandable and concise way.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server, Desktop Operating Systems, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience supporting 3CX VoIP or similar phone systems
- Experience managing a Medium to large sized network infrastructure (Cisco / Dell)
- Experience with Hypervisor technologies (Hyper V or VMWare)
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN Technologies. (Cisco or Similar)
- Knowledge of Information Security Products (Cisco, Dell and Sonicwall)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Technical certifications, certificate programs, and/or higher-level training are highly desired.
- At least five years of experience supporting MS Windows Server environment (Windows Active Directory, Imaging Servers, File Servers)

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
