What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner III (Part Time) position at arizona?
- Conduct medical examinations, diagnose, prescribe, and treat CHS’ patients while practicing within clinical skill and competencies.
- Performs clinical decision-making with respect to evaluation, assessment, and management for a wide range of women’s health care issues, including contraceptive and STD treatment.
- Records and reviews health histories and performs examinations, including Pap Smears and pelvic exams.
- Provides informative education and counseling during each patient visit to assure patient’s full understanding of conditions and treatments.
- Consults with other health care providers as needed.
- Prescribes and dispenses drugs and devices in accordance with established regulations.
- Provides technical direction to RN’s, College of Nursing students, College of Medicine residents, intern physicians, and medical students.
- Cooperative interaction with other CHS clinical and support staff.
- Provide teaching and mentoring opportunities for UA or affiliated health care trainees.
- Involvement in committees and teams as appropriate.
- Additional duties as assigned.
