The Controller will manage a diverse accounting team across several states while collaborating closely with the CFO to deliver critical financial insights for strategic decision-making.
The Controller is responsible for preparing and overseeing financial statements for all company entities to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Their duties include maintaining the general ledger, managing and coordinating the external audit process in collaboration with the CPA firm, and providing essential accounting support to the CFO and the CPA firm for tax filings. Additionally, the Controller will also supervise and mentor the accounting staff.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a preference for CPA certification. A minimum of five years of accounting experience is required, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in managing audits and tax compliance processes, strongly understand GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting, and have experience working with remote or field-based teams.
