Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and facilitating smooth operations within the dental office. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of dental terminology, and proficiency in coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage for dental procedures.
- Utilize CDT coding systems for accurate billing and documentation.
- Assist with the management of managed care processes and documentation.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient office operations and patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental practices.
- Support the office in administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred.
- Experience filing/coding dental procedures is a plus.
- Strong understanding of managed care principles and insurance verification processes.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and record management practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
