JOB DESCRIPTION: Professional Day and Orientation: July 2, 2025 Program Dates: July 7, 2025 - August 1, 2025 Location: Washington-Liberty High School Model: IN-PERSON RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities Include: Provide reading and writing instruction for students Provide differentiation of content based upon the needs of individual students Participate in planning and professional learning before summer school Collaborate with staff regarding implementation of instruction, administration of assessments, analysis of assessment results, and development of curriculum EXPERIENCE: Experience: Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds Experience teaching high school Experience with implementing personalized learning strategies QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Qualifications: Virginia teaching license in English Ability to work as part of a team for planning, assessing and grouping students as well as implementing best instructional practices in Language Arts Knowledge of reading/writing strategies and adolescent literature Understanding of and experience with teaching the VA English Standards of Learning for high school Willing and available to participate in planning and professional learning prior to summer school Willingness to use summer school materials and implement the chosen curricula Ability and willingness to administer and analyze common assessments Ability and willingness to develop course syllabi and calendar CONTACT INFORMATION: Credit Recovery Courses English 9 English 10 English 11 English 12 APPLY TO: Candidates should contact the high school summer site based administrator or
