What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift EDM/CNC Machine Operator position at Armada Staffing Group?
Job Duties :
Set up and operate EDM machines to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and job orders. Program EDM machines using CAD / CAM software.
Monitor the EDM process to ensure quality and precision of parts.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machines.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area including equipment.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, by using the EDM tools efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating EDM machines, with a preference for experience in super abrasives.
Proficiency in CAD / CAM programming.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong understanding of machining principles and precision measurement techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Job Details :
Monday - Thursday (8pm - 6am)
Possibility of weekend hours
18.00 per hour
25 minute paid lunch
Attire : Long paints, close-toed shoes, T-shirt.
