The Food & Beverage Manager role is executive chef & restaurant manager for our small fast casual bar & restaurant, the Handle Bar Kitchen.

Job Description

*Supervise, train, and schedule restaurant staff to assist in the following tasks as appropriate *Work to develop unique, fresh, and cost effective menu and specials *Identify and improve processes *Primary cooking and supervising of kitchen/serving staff *Assist in hiring and selection of kitchen/waitstaff *Oversee scheduling of seasonal kitchen/waitstaff *Oversee implementation of Safe Food Handling practices *Keep an accurate inventory of food and supplies as needed *Weekly food and beer sourcing working with various vendors *Ensure that all Kitchen equipment is in good order, clean, and meets health standards *Ensure that all paperwork is filled out accurately and timely *Carry out and enforce all ABF policies and procedures *Ensure all staff and facilities are in compliance with state/federal laws, and any other applicable standards *Interact with ABF management to help provide marketing content as requested *Ensure maintenance of beer quality and dispensing equipment *Assist as needed with other ABF operations *Any other duties asked upon staff by Arrowhead Bike Farm owners and managers

Qualifications

*Good organizational skills *Strong independent work ethic *Able to prioritize, delegate tasks, and make sound decisions quickly while maintaining a focus on the bottom line *Skillful communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. *Adept in cultivating positive relationships with customers; particularly adept at communicating with clarity and diplomacy to individuals from diverse cultural and organizational backgrounds *Kitchen/culinary experience and/or Culinary training *Cook delicious food quickly and efficiently *Knowledge of beer, wine, and associated drinks helpful, but not required *Customer service experience *Communication skills necessary to deal effectively in confrontational situations *Must be able to lift and handle materials weighing up to 30lbs

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $22.00/hour.
