Job Description: Merchandiser & Golf Shop Assistant
Key Roles
- Merchandising & Display
- Curate and maintain an attractive and organized Golf Shop layout that maximizes sales.
- Arrange product displays to highlight seasonal collections, new arrivals, and best-selling items.
- Ensure all merchandise is appropriately tagged, inventoried, priced, and stocked.
- Rotate inventory strategically to reduce slow-moving stock and maximize revenue.
- Assisting with Golf Shop Operation
- Operation of Club Caddie (POS) System
- Maintain a clean and friendly work environment
- Merchandise Sales and Membership sales
- Answering Golf Shop phone calls and assist callers as needed
- Working a minimum of 32 hours per week in the Golf Shop (Opening and closing shifts)
- Inventory Management & Purchasing
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock.
- Work with vendors and brand representatives to select high-quality, in-demand products.
- Track sales data to identify trends and adjust product selection accordingly.
- Manage special orders and custom merchandise for members.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and coordinate with accounting for accurate records.
- Sales & Customer Service
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on golf apparel, equipment, and accessories.
- Develop relationships with members to understand their preferences and tailor merchandise accordingly.
- Assist with processing transactions and handling returns/exchanges professionally.
- Plan and execute sales promotions, trunk shows, and member-exclusive shopping events.
- Assisting with Tournament Operations
- Assist the Tournament Director with Golf Genius and execution of golf tournaments
- Assist in administrative work as directed for tournaments, scoring, etc.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
