What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Licensing Category Manager position at Arrowmac?
As an Associate Licensing Category Manager, you will be the linchpin of our client's licensee relationships, ensuring seamless communication and support. You'll work closely with Category Managers, contributing to strategic initiatives and driving growth within the apparel category.
Responsibilities:
- Licensee Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for apparel licensees, providing exceptional day-to-day communication and support.
- Category Support: Assist Category Managers with various responsibilities, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs.
- Communication Hub: Lead communication with licensees on retail, marketing, financial, and product requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Strategic Support: Provide support to the team on retail planning, presentations, and category insights research to drive strategic decision-making.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent our leading toy client, fostering strong relationships with partners and ensuring alignment with brand values.
- Marketing Collaboration: Support licensee marketing initiatives for key collection launches, partnering closely with Brand, PR, Social and Marketing teams.
- Contractual & Logistical Support: Assist in drafting and submitting contracts, customs and shipping letters, and follow through on status.
- Industry Expertise: Stay updated on the latest developments in the retailer landscape and industry trends, identifying opportunities for growth and potential new partnerships.
Requirements:
- 3 years in category management
- Toy industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of brand/category positioning, retailer landscape, business development, and retailer distribution.
- Results oriented, ambitious and hardworking drive while showcasing your desire to grow within the consumer products industry.
- Strong base of presentation skills paired with creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm, and passion.
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business or related field—required.
