Position Overview:
ARS Transport, LLC is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Yakima, WA. The ideal candidate will bring their own logistics accounts, meaning they have an established client base with freights ready to go! This role requires a proactive individual with strong sales abilities, customer service expertise, and effective time management skills. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating shipments, and driving business growth through new and existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients while expanding the customer base.
- Leverage personal logistics accounts to contribute to company revenue.
- Make proactive cold calls and conduct sales activities to secure new business.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch teams and operations staff to meet customer expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and resolving issues.
- Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to clients.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments and logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, preferably within the logistics industry.
- Proven ability to manage and expand a customer base.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and comfortable with cold calling and other sales activities.
- Proficiency in relevant logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Pay Structure:
- Hourly Rate: applicants without an established client base/new to the industry will be compensated on an hourly basis, with a specific commission rate determined upon hire.
- Commission-Based: Applicants with an existing client base will be compensated on a salary plus commission basis. Details of commission rate will be determined upon hire, taking the candidates experience into consideration.
