What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Human Resources position at Artemis?
We are a growing apparel and accessories brand and are preparing for a lot of exciting growth as we continue to nurture our core business while expanding into new categories. We are looking for a hands-on Director of Human Resources who can take the reigns of our people operations and be the steward of culture. This person will own the HR function and serve as a business advisor to our founders and leadership, so we need a dynamic individual who can get their hands dirty in the morning and drive executive conversations in the afternoon.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the HR business processes to ensure proper administration of HR functions and create efficiencies across the organization. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Employee engagement, retention, leadership development, coaching, employee relations, benefits, labor relations, compensation, and change management.
- Be the architect of culture, foster a greater level of synergy and collaboration across the organization, and be a champion of a respectful and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership throughout the business to develop and implement HR strategies that deliver an integrated employee lifecycle experience aligned with organization goals and objectives.
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify business needs and opportunities of improvement that cultivate stronger employee satisfaction and continuously strengthen the infrastructure of the organization.
- Be a trusted mentor and advisor to the teams, providing continuous support of both individual development and day-to-day operations of their unique roles.
- Model and drive continuous learning to maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning cross-functional resource plans with business objectives.
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop organizational and people strategies to improve the performance and effectiveness of each business group.
- Lead the teams, by example, to be ambassadors of our culture at every touch point.
- Analyze people data and provide actionable insights to organizational leaders while supporting the implementation of change across the business.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of HR experience with a minimum of 4-years of experience either managing a team or owning a department
- Experience in retail, apparel, CPG, and/or tech, software, start-ups
- Must have hands-on experience (performing or managing) all aspects of HR
- Big-picture thinker who anticipates future trends and creates competitive, creative talent strategies
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence, able to present and contextualize people data to senior leadership
- HRIS experience
- Must possess a ‘doer’ mentality and an attitude of ‘do what needs to get done’
- High emotional intelligence; trustworthy, transparent, and self-motivated
- Strong managerial courage with the ability to provide direct feedback, coach, and develop leaders to become more effective in their roles
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
