Front of House Staff

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a member of the Front of House team, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our café and restaurant environment.

Duties

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly demeanor, providing information about menu items and specials.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments using the Square POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters.
• Prepare soup, salad and sandwiches, and ensure adherence to food safety standards during handling and serving.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting menu items and upselling where appropriate.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math skills are advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others are crucial for success in this role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including Saturdays.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
