WHAT WE DO
Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the “back office” work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day operations that support a specific division within the ABV family of brands, including but not limited to manufacturing, operations, retail/hospitality, and sales. The generalist responsibilities focus on pro-active business partnership on all employee relations subjects. The Generalist serves as a subject matter expert on policies and procedures, performance management, and retention through employee engagement. They are responsible for coaching and developing management to support their teams and engage their employees for a World Class Experience.
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
- Drive company values (pillars) through partnership and coaching of staff.
- Drive employee culture throughout the organization through a well-designed engagement calendar of events.
- Ensure engagement calendar execution remains in budget and mirrors employee base.
- Analyze results and impact of engagement events.
- Participate in interview and hiring process as necessary for management positions.
- Manage a successful onboarding process, providing a world-class introduction to the company and ensuring all partnerships are in place.
- Drive timely communication throughout the year for company announcements, annual notifications, annual enrollments, review periods, etc.
- Ensure timely and honest performance reviews are provided to all employees annually.
- Facilitate stay and exit interviews, and take appropriate coaching actions as needed.
- Develop strong partnerships with management and provide expert consultation on employee matters.
- Actively participate and add value to management meetings.
- Provide pro-active metrics and reporting to management to better manage their employee staff.
- Identify trends and training/coaching opportunities.
- Manage unemployment claims.
- Ensure compliance and reporting with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Identify and assess the compliance and risk opportunities within the company and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
- Identify, partner with the HR Manager on development, and execute training and development initiatives for employees and management.
- Manage information of a sensitive nature and maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide World-Class Generalist support to the designated employee groups.
- Provide timekeeping support to management and payroll.
- Liaison benefits and wellness campaigns to the employee population.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, related field, or the equivalent years of experience
- 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills
- Experience within retail/hospitality highly preferred
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are typically Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is expected to be about 25% of the time to support and be present to employees.
