Our manufacturing Company located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Human Resource professional to lead our HR department.
This is a hands-on, “roll up the sleeves” role in a department of one. You should have a skill set that allows you to be both an HR Manager and an HR Generalist.
Your day will encompass everything from personnel issues to administering and overseeing regulatory policies to payroll, benefits and compensation. The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills with a formal understanding of the Human Resource role. He/she must be able to work at various levels in the organization throughout the day from interacting and managing employee relations to being part of the Management team.
Requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years experience in human resources leadership role that includes recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, workers compensation claims management, safety program administration, payroll processing and knowledge of EEO regulations.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- Payroll including wages, garnishments, and levies
- Managing the entire hiring including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for open positions
- Administration of company benefits program to include: medical/dental/vision, short term disability, long-term disability and all other programs in the Company
- Management and administration of workers compensation, including reporting and managing claims and OSHA compliance
- Participate in safety awareness, safety committee meetings and other safety training and programs within the Company
- Management and administration of FMLA and other leaves of absence
- Maintenance of personnel records and HIPAA compliance
- Maintain confidentiality
- Other duties and projects as requested
Job Requirements:
- High School/GED required, Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a PLUS
- A minimum of 5 years experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (word, excel, email, HRIS, Payroll/Timekeeping Software)
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
