Position Summary
An Audiology Technician provides administrative support to ENT providers and Audiologists. In this role, your responsibilities include performing simple hearing tests, helping patients get fitted for hearing aid or other equipment for hearing loss, sound sensitivity, or a balance disorder. These tests help providers determine how severe the hearing loss or other hearing issues are so they can pursue the best course of treatment. You may also perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and returning patient calls.
Assists medical providers and works closely with patients in preparation for examination to provide medical care. Performs routine tests and assists with maintenance and inventory of all medical supplies. Completes paperwork assigned by provider. Assists front office, surgery scheduling and medical records team as needed. Fields and conducts patient calls as requested, manages In-Basket and prepares charts. Enters ancillary service orders and computerized provider order entries (CPOE).

Position Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required.
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA)required upon start date.
- Certificate Program for Otolaryngology Personnel (CPOP) with American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNSF)required within 6 months of start date
- CCMA: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA).
- NCMA: Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT).
- CMA: Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA).
- RMA: Registered Medical Assistant (AMT).
- CMAC: Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (AMCA).
- One year experience in health care or medical office setting
- Working knowledge of office procedures.
- Previous experience in Otolaryngology clinic preferred.
