Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager with Material Handling Systems/Conveyor experience to play a critical role in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring projects are completed successfully while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to manage resources efficiently. Duration: Mid-April until Mid-June.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Daily Activities: Act as the liaison between the office and the field, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of tasks on the job site
- Site Reporting: Prepare accurate and comprehensive site reports, detailing project progress, challenges, and potential risks
- Oversee Operations: Supervise and guide daily operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to prearranged standards
- Customer Interactions: Maintain positive relationships with clients and address their concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Material and Resource Management: Source, track, and manage materials, equipment, tools, and extras required for project execution
- Employee Scheduling and Development: Coordinate employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and facilitate training and professional development activities
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews for staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a motivated work environment
- Safety and Quality Control: Enforce all workplace policies, safety regulations, and quality control measures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate initiative and logical thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that arise during the project
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and PMP standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MUST have Material Handling Systems/Conveyor experience
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Time Management and Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Reporting Skills: Proficient in generating accurate and detailed reports to track project progress and address issues
- Initiative and Logical Thinking: Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think critically to find solutions
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure projects are executed to the highest quality standards
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints to guide construction processes effectively.
Important: This role requires regular, in-person presence at our Eagan location. Candidates must be local to the Eagan, MN area or in the process of relocating.
