Arizona Regional Human Resources Generalist
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Regional Human Resources Generalist is expected to:
- Protect the legal, financial and moral wellbeing of the dealership
- Educate and maintain all applicable company procedures, policies and benefits
- Stay current on state and federal employment and wage and hour laws and recommend policy adjustments as necessary
- Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful
- Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Must maintain current knowledge of Federal and State employment and wage and hour laws to work collaboratively with onsite Team Leaders to educate and ensure compliance within stores
- Work regularly with store onsite store management to educate and instill human resources best practices:
- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Work as a team with store management to focus on high turnover departments to evaluate hiring practices
- Help stores to facilitate regular benefit education to employees
- Work as a collaborative team with the Regional HR Manager and Operations Management to conduct thorough employee relations (ER) investigations
- Assist Larry H. Miller Automotive Group HR department with various research projects and/or special projects
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Demand the highest ethical standards from yourself and others
- Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism
- Communicate and help resolve complaints
- Maintain confidentiality in all employee and company related issues
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- 4 years human resources experience; SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.
- 4 years’ experience of conducting employee relations (ER) investigations
- Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Public speaking experience
- Work performed in an office and occasional dealership settings
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% annually
- Must maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Record within company policy requirements
