Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales for a stable food company located in Bronx, NY!
This role will oversee a vertical generating $300m in sales. We are seeking proven sales executives who have sold food. Preferably protein.
Base compensation will start at $200,000 with bonuses included for performance. Full benefits are also included.
What You'll be Doing:
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies in partnership with leadership to achieve financial targets.
- Cultivate a results-driven and ethical sales culture through coaching, mentorship, and performance management to exceed key objectives while reinforcing company values.
- Lead efforts in talent acquisition, training, and performance assessments to build a high-performing sales team.
- Set and maintain superior customer service standards within the sales organization.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to drive timely decision-making and business growth.
- Train the sales team on data interpretation and application to proactively manage accounts and conduct annual client business reviews.
- Oversee performance evaluations and career development initiatives for team members.
- Establish sales forecasts and performance goals on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Review and assess daily sales metrics and profitability, making adjustments as needed.
- Strengthen relationships with key clients by supporting sales managers and representatives in business development efforts.
- Oversee customer retention strategies to sustain long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
- Implement operational frameworks to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
- Leverage sales data to refine strategies and assist the team in meeting performance objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales initiatives with market trends and expansion goals.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure inventory forecasting, pricing, and supply align with sales objectives and market conditions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving business needs and strategic goals.
Who You Are:
- 10 years of food industry, FMCG and / or distribution related sales experience required
- 5 years sales supervisory experience or related / equivalent experience, education, and/or training required
- Experience in perishables, meat / protein sales highly preferred
- Experience in sales to various distribution channels highly preferred
- Track record of developing managers and high performance
- Solid understanding and experience in product merchandising, sampling and driving markets
