Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is representing a prestigious client in their search for a Discovery Litigation Specialist to join their team. This role will be a key part of their eDiscovery & Litigation Support department, working closely with the Director of eDiscovery & Litigation Support to manage critical discovery and litigation support functions.
Position Overview
The Discovery Litigation Specialist will be responsible for executing eDiscovery tasks across all phases of the EDRM Model, including collection, processing, extraction, conversion, manipulation, and production of eDiscovery data using industry-leading eDiscovery software and forensic tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage ongoing data tracking projects while providing litigation support to various practice groups.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of eDiscovery experience within a law firm or discovery service provider (law firm experience preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in eDiscovery software is required (Relativity experience is a must; iPro and DISCO experience are a plus).
- Certifications: Industry and software certifications (CEDS, RCA, etc.) are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the eDiscovery Director to provide optimal technology solutions for data collection and manipulation.
- Process data into discovery databases, generate and analyze processing reports, and manage data exceptions.
- Load structured data into discovery databases, including handling DAT, OPT, and Excel overlay files.
- Draft and execute search terms and protocols in consultation with firm attorneys.
- Prepare and export document productions, ensuring thorough quality control.
- Manage user access to discovery databases and provide technical support to end users.
- Track and summarize document review statistics and metrics.
- Configure and administer discovery databases, including batch preparation, coding layouts, analytics, and Active Learning configurations.
- Archive and restore databases while maintaining quality control.
- Utilize SQL, MS Access, scripting languages, batch files, and text editors to analyze and manipulate data.
- Assist with project documentation, including preparing internal and external memoranda related to eDiscovery projects.
- Support vendor management, ensuring deliverables meet specifications, deadlines, and budget expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
