Our Am Law 200 client is seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate with 3 to 7 years of experience to join their growing Trusts & Estates practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, sophisticated drafting, estate and trust administration, and estate and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on estate planning, trust administration, and tax compliance.
- Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related agreements.
- Handle all aspects of estate and trust administration, including probate filings and fiduciary accountings.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies and estate tax planning.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on estate and tax laws.
- Maintain regular client communication, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with partners across multiple office locations to manage complex estate planning matters.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 7 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
- Experience with estate planning, trust administration, and estate tax compliance.
- Strong drafting skills for complex estate planning documents.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.
- Admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, or Florida is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $180,000 – $275,000 (dependent on experience and location).
