What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVP, Patient Experience position at Ascension?
We are seeking an Associate Vice President to direct and drive the patient experience strategy within the finance organization.
What You Will Do
Position Summary:
- Leads the delivery and development of strategic finance initiatives related to Patient Experience.
- Provide leadership and oversight of key operational and financial decisions pertaining to all underlying functions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, measure, and report ongoing financial and operational performance across all services as a result of the patient experience.
- Implement strategies and participate in the development of programs and services that address specific aspects of the patient experience for targeted areas.
- Lead cost benefit analysis to determine benefits and effectiveness of Patient Experience programs and identify areas of improvement.
- Participate and lead cross functional working groups dedicated to regulatory changes around pricing transparency.
- Provide finance subject matter advice to influence leadership, physicians, direct care providers, and other stakeholders to deliver excellent patient experiences.
- Oversee, measure, and report ongoing financial and operational performance across all facilities as a result of the patient experience.
- Analyze customer satisfaction and performance metrics/analytics to track and monitor performance trends.
- Implement recommended action plans including competency validation to improve the patient experience.

What You Will Need
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in business administration, healthcare administration, healthcare finance or closely related field is preferred
8 years of experience in Patient Experience is required. 3 years of leadership experience in Patient Experience required.
Revenue cycle operations, consulting and/or project management experience for at least 8 years
